September is Emergency Preparedness Month and the perfect time to recognize the work of Austin SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½'s Emergency Management Team.

Through risk analyses, staff trainings, preparedness plans and response actions, the department works to ensure the safety and security of all district facilities.

Proactive assessments of ASA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ facilities are conducted on a regular basis to identify potential safety and security vulnerabilities. Through these regular assessments, Emergency Management employees are able to recalibrate preparedness planning and provide support and training to school and administrative personnel, so that the people who teach, learn and work at ASA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ are safe.
