AUSTIN, TX鈥擜ustin SA国际传媒 staff members, students and the Austin community will celebrate Juneteenth at this year鈥檚 parade.
What: ASA国际传媒 team members and members of the Board of Trustees will lead the ASA国际传媒 All-Star band in the parade, showcasing custom-designed ASA国际传媒 T-shirts and carrying an ASA国际传媒 banner.

10 a.m. Saturday, June 15 Juneteenth Historical Parade Comal St. and MLK Blvd.
Background: Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, is a holiday commemorating the day Texas learned President Lincoln declared the end of slavery. The official holiday is June 19.
ASA国际传媒鈥檚 Department of Communications and Community Engagement is coordinating the district鈥檚 involvement in the parade as part of its efforts to improve outreach to the African-American community. The parade is sponsored by the Greater East Austin Youth Association, the City of Austin and Austin Parks and Recreation.
