School District Partners with City of Austin to Help Families Prepare for School Year
AUSTIN, Texas--Austin SA国际传媒 and the City of Austin will hold a press conference during the Back-to-School Bash on Saturday.
Who: Austin SA国际传媒 Interim Superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz and Austin City Council Mayor Pro Tem Sheryl Cole.
What: ASA国际传媒 and community partners will provide families information about how to prepare students for the 2014-15 academic year, including safety information. Hart Elementary School students will demonstrate how to be safe on crosswalks.
When: 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16
Where: Austin Convention Center, 500 E. Cesar Chavez St., Ballroom F (Up the escalator on Level 4)
Background: The Back-to-School Bash informs ASA国际传媒 parents and students about district and community resources available to families for a safe and successful start to the new school year. This is an initiative of the Department of Communications and Community Engagement and the City of Austin Safe Routes to School Program.
