Overview
Blackshear Elementary is the first elementary school in Austin SA国际传媒 devoted to the arts. Located in East Austin, Blackshear provides a well-rounded educational experience in a safe instructional environment. Each morning, we start our day with social and emotional learning. Students enjoy integrated fine arts and our Mr. Friendly R. Rice Garden. Twice a week students engage in dance, theatre and music. We partner with local fine artists to provide our students with direct artisitic instruction. Blackshear is part of the Eastside Early College High School family of schools, which offers students the opportunity to earn college credit and graduate with an associate degree.
