Mathews Elementary is a beautifully diverse, small, downtown school with an outstanding staff, fantastic students, and a caring community. Proudly serving students from all over the city of Austin, Mathews provides a joy-filled, rigorous, and relevant education. At Mathews our students explore their academics through the lens of design thinking and maker education. We stand on culturally proficient and inclusive teaching, authentic learning through problem solving and discovery, social and emotional learning, and the Positivity Project Character Program.
